Of the other options available to produce low-emission diesel, (i.e. refining a “boutique” fuel or using an emulsion fuel system), the ORYXE LED+ additive solution is the most economical and minimizes the amount of disruption to the existing fuel production and distribution infrastructure.

ORYXE LED+ can help businesses, such as fleets, cost-effectively reduce the environmental impact of their diesel vehicles and equipment without having to purchase expensive retrofit hardware.
The Product
ORYXE LED+ is truly unique because of its ability to simultaneously reduce oxides of nitrogen (NOx), total hydrocarbons (THC), non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM). Other additives available today typically decrease one of these pollutants but often increase the others. ORYXE LED+ also significantly reduces visible black smoke (opacity) and improves cetane.
The unique, proprietary ingredient in ORYXE LED+ is biodegradable, non-toxic, and compatible with fossil fuel, oxygenated fuel, biomass fuel and biodiesel. It is not a “boutique fuel,” an oxygenate or metallic.
Testing
The ORYXE LED additive technology was originally tested for use in the Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) market. The additive technology has passed four separate emissions performance tests sanctioned by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for entry into the TxLED market.
Additionally, the product passed no harms testing at an independent third party test lab and is registered with the EPA (registration number 192220006).
Implementation
The use of ORYXE LED+ does not require the enormous capital investments in infrastructure modifications associated with boutique fuel production, storage and distribution. ORYXE LED+ is combined with diesel fuel at distribution locations, such as terminals and refineries. The additive can be proportionally-injected into diesel fuel at the fuel loading rack with minimal hardware expense, or it can be easily splash-blended into existing diesel storage tanks with no hardware expense.
Supply
ORYXE LED+ is produced at the company’s blending facility in Pasadena, Texas. The
facility currently serves the TxLED market and has enough capacity to supply other domestic and international markets as well. |
